I teach first grade in a Title I elementary school where every student receives free breakfast and lunch. My school is an amazing place to work because of our inspiring students and the community of teachers, parents, and neighbors that support them. Our school has a large population of English language learners with students from many diverse backgrounds. Numerous students are children of immigrants and many are immigrants themselves. My students are bright, energetic, and hardworking. They love to move, run, jump and play. Most importantly though, they love to read!
