Biological molecules can be very difficult to picture, which can make it difficult for students while trying to understand what is happening at the molecular level. Three dimensional structures need to be seen in three dimensions. Our current paper diagrams are just not as helpful for visualization. The molecules that can be built with these molecular model kits are specifically designed for building the larger biological molecules that my students are discussing on a daily basis. They will be an excellent resource for students to use and refer to while exploring photosynthesis, cellular respiration, DNA replication, and even the transport of materials through the cell membrane.
