My classroom currently offers my students the traditional "books on tape" reading center. I have gone through multiple tapes as well as players - the older it gets, the less likely it will be saved. The center only allows one book/tape at a time to be heard. The use of the four Kindle Fires will allow four different students to read books on his/her level and within their interests. This new reading center will not only keep up with the ever changing technology, but it will inspire the next generation of readers! I would love to introduce the use of tablets as a reading tool, not just a device to play games.
