Art Matters! My students need art drafting tables to do their large scale renderings. Currently, we have traditional school tables in the art room and I want my students to feel they are ARTISTS walking into their Art Studio when they attend my class. My students have a special interest in the areas of science and mathematics. These students had to pass an entrance exam to be accepted into this college preparatory Junior/Senior High School. The school focuses on science, mathematics and technology. My students come from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds including African American, Hispanic, and Asian. The school is located in the inner city of Roxbury, Massachussetts. This will be the first year these particular students will receive a formal fine arts curriculum.
