Students will have access to culturally relevant, high interest books to get them hooked on reading and to create life-long readers. Students will be at the forefront of this project using the books to connect with our community and beyond. Students will lead discussions and help to create community events to celebrate reading. Project LIT Community is a grass roots effort by teachers across the United States to share great books, get students hooked on reading, and develop reading leaders in our youth. These books will help get the project in CA started. Thank you for your support of our literacy project!
