The materials within my Ðǿմ«Ã½ project will help my students, several of whom are struggling with literacy and reading, to learn, grow and truly be able to reach the appropriate reading grade level necessary for 3rd grade and on. I believe having headphones to hook up to the computers during their "station time" will help them to develop their reading skills in a fun way.
Students will be able to listen to stories being read and also play word games to help expand their vocabulary! We will use the headphones to hook up to the Chromebooks, and the bean bag chairs to sit in during reading time. When the students are done using the headphones, they will be taught to take care of and organize their learning tools by placing them within the cart.
Our school does daily 5 stations, and currently, the students are not able to use the Chromebooks we have within the station because we do not have headphones. The children are ecstatic about being able to use the computers and learning how to read. Once we have headphones, my students will be reading to roll!
