I want to create a special inviting environment for the students to enjoy reading. My goal is to allow my students who are more comfortable sitting on the floor mats, carpet, and couches to read, do just that instead of being confined to their desk. The Carry Me Floor Cushions allow my students to take their learning where they are most comfortable. The Surf Portable Lap Desk/Laptop Stand/Writing Table allow the students to be mobile with their 21st century learning. By allowing my students to choose their flexible seating choices provides my students the opportunity to get movement and sensory input in the classroom.
Movement with students of all ages is so important but is extremely critical to bigger kids. Now more than ever, kids need an opportunity to move and fidget. Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. My students are noticeably more engaged and enjoy reading with less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work.
