If my project is funded, this will allow me to effectively immerse my students in the Montessori experience. They will have more of the required materials to learn the concepts being presented. The best part of the Montessori experience is the exposure to the many different routes of learning. The students will also have the ability to explore individual learn experiences. Some of the items requested are an integral part of fostering a proper learning environment. The requested headphones would enable the students to complete their test and lessons on the computer with limited distractions. I requested a printer because upon entering my classroom, I did not have a printer. I eventually received a printer from the school, unfortunately, is was a broken printer and I was not able to get a proper printer. When I entered the classroom, we had very few books. thanks to the school and parents, we were able to procure books for my students to read. For language and Reading, the Farm House, as well as the farm animals, assist with grammar. They are used so that the students have physical means of constructing and describing their sentences.The Grammar Box, Symbols, and Stencils assist the students with labeling the parts of speech. In the classroom, we are missing certain math materials that are integral to learning such as the Multiplication Snake. This assists with both addition and multiplication. The Small Bead Frame assists the students with learning place value and assessing how they change when adding and subtracting. The Board is to assist the younger students with learning how to count to 100 by using tangible means. The safari animals assist the students with science. This enables them to have a more hands-on approach to analyzing the life cycle of animals.
