Every morning I love to start the day with community time. By having a carpet that my students can come to, makes that community just a little bit more unique. Community time is a chance for students to get to know one another, a time for students to build relationships. This is essential for learning in the classroom. When a community is built, everyone wins. I want to give my students a place where they feel free to share their feelings and thoughts, after all, school should be a safe place for them. Having a classroom rug/carpet will accomplish that goal with the right implementation from me.
