I am requesting a subscription to Scholastic News where my students can learn all about current events and informational texts. This magazine subscription will help strengthen our students' reading skills and give them fun and engaging text to read with colorful photographs. Students will use their magazine in class and at home with their families. This non-fiction magazine is perfect for first graders--giving them current events on a level that they could understand. It will be a treasured piece of text in our classroom. After we have read these at school, the students will be able to take them home to build a library where they can discuss current events with their family.
