My kinder students are full of excitement and energy when they are learning something for the first time, which makes teaching them a joy to work with. I find they learn best through hands on manipulation and when they do not have the right tools for this exploration it makes it hard for them to be active in their learning process. The donations for this project will go towards literacy center materials that are needed to help students connect their learning of letter sounds, rhyming, simple sentences, building words and sight words. The math center materials will build onto their math standards of learning numbers, measurement, shapes, addition, and subtraction. My goal is to give them learning centers in Literacy and Math, so that they can continue this eagerness in learning through hands on activities. Learning centers have been proven to help kinder students in so many ways such as academically, socially, emotionally, physically, mentally, and learning how to problem solve. Through these centers my students will be given the opportunity to grow in their learning and give them a solid foundation in future education.
