My students will use the "Who Was...?" book series to read about significant people who are classified as "world changers." World changers are those who use their lives to change the world around them and left a legacy of philanthropy for others to follow. While reading the book series, students will keep notes in their writing binders. Students will create a presentation of a world changer to present to their peers. Their presentation will include a piece on how they are similar and different from their selected world changer as well as how they can improve upon that person's legacy.
