Over 90% of my students are fairly recent immigrants, primarily from El Salvador and Guatemala. I always have at least a few newcomers who speak no English. That's a challenge so I try to teach using a variety of modalities. Our school is a Title 1 school - mostly low income families. My students are eager to learn!
