Tiny students struggle to get through the day because, let's face it, it's a long day of learning! I want to enhance the learning experience by making my students comfortable while they are learning.
Studies have shown that students learn more when they are able to relax. These seating options will provide my first graders with options that will fit their needs. All students are different, and I want to teach them to find the way that they learn and work best. I appreciate your help in making them the best learners they can be!
Personally, I like to work standing up. I always have, and my husband has helped me to create standing work stations for myself. Instead of telling students to sit down and work or sit criss-cross applesauce, I believe we are all different, and I want to avoid the behavior problems that come from trying to "control" students and allow them to get comfortable so that they can learn.
