We can not wait to have a divided rug in our classroom!
Providing learning and sitting space for every child will allow them to stay organized and learn within their own area. Students will use the divided rug to gather at for whole group reading and math instruction. Within their area, students will keep their own materials organized and not mixed with other students' materials. Students can also use the divided area for graphing, multiplication, division, sorting, building words, and other various hands-on activities. Providing each child with their own space will also assist with behavior management. When a classroom is well managed, students are on task and engaged in effective classroom instruction.
