Our high school has a Business Technology Pathway inclusive of scaffolded work-based learning opportunities in order to best prepare students for life after high school. In addition to core academic classes, students gain meaningful real world experiences that develop both their soft and technical skills.
We are currently building a Business Technology wing at the school, and the goal is that this wing will mimic various office spaces within the Business and Technology fields.
Students will have access to the wing during classes, meetings, and for various other work-based learning opportunities during their time at Excel.
This furniture will be used specifically in the Work-Based Learning lounge room, which is something the students advocated strongly for. Many feel they can be more successful with their coursework in a quiet space with flexible seating. They were exposed to this type of space during internship and shadowship opportunities over the school year and summer.
