Mailboxes are a necessary tool in organizing a 6th grader's work. From passing back work for reflection, to sending affirming notes to their peers, to receiving important information regarding their transition to the Intermediate school.
Mailboxes play an important role in our students' daily lives. They are key in building the independence necessary to maintain a locker in their near future. This helps students organize the larger influx of paperwork that is required of 6th graders as well as provides a place to find missing/absent work so they do not fall behind their peers. Extra mailboxes also provide a space for students to independently access papers that are commonly needed such as reading logs or notebook paper.
