Imagine having to sit during a meeting in a hard metal chair. Now, imagine that you are a 7 year old child, at school, in a reading group, and you REALLY don't like reading. Does this teacher sitting in front of you really expect you to be still?
Now, wouldn't you enjoy that reading group a lot more if you were sitting comfortably?! Maybe on a squishy cushion or a pretty purple stool? We need six stability balance discs, five comfy pillows and some stacking stools.
When I provide my students with a variety of ways to get comfortable while staying active in their learning, I know that we will all win!
