Because I worked with my students last year, I am more aware of their needs and am confident that these materials will help us reach our goals in the classroom!
The materials in this project will empower my students by giving them choices in their learning environment.
I have noticed that my students love to move around the room and work in areas different from the standard desk and chair. Students can use the wobble cushions to sit on the floor, or in their chair for some extra wiggle room. Students can also have the option of sitting on the rug with floor pillows. They can use the clipboards and trays to work while sitting on the floor. Stools provide an alternative seat aside from the traditional chairs in the classroom.
Providing flexible seating in the classroom will allow my students to choose the most effective seating for them, a place where they can focus and achieve at their greatest potential. They will have the ability to move around the room and work independently in a seat they are comfortable in, which in turn will help them stay focused and learn.
