My students are always excited to learn about STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math). They love hands on activities that allow them to be problem solvers and critical thinkers. My students are inquisitive and will use these hands on activities to collaborate as a team. My students will be challenged with real world problems. The STEAM process will allow my students the opportunity to hypothesize, construct, record, test, and reconstruct as necessary. My students can read and write about different topics, but these kits will allow them to experience the topics.
Real World STEM Challenge Kit will provide my students with the opportunity to save a town from a flash flood, rescue a bear from a well, and help a family across a bridge!. The children will be able to think like scientists and engineers, as they work to save parts of a community. The Hydraulics Engineering STEM Kit will allow my students to create 4 different hydraulic machines. They will learn how to convert energy into motion. These kits will provide us the materials we will need to complete the tasks. The materials are reusable. This will allow me to use this with other classes in the future as well.
My students will be thrilled to have these activities in the classroom. My students soar when provided the opportunities to be fully engaged!
