Support Mrs. Lauria's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
After 12 years as a general education teacher, I recently transitioned into the world of special education—a move that has been both rewarding and inspiring. In my new role at PS 291, a public school located in the Bronx, I work with 2nd and 3rd grade students through small group instruction and by pushing into ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) classrooms.
My students are incredible—eager to learn, full of personality, and each with their own unique strengths and challenges. They represent a wide range of learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and various learning disabilities. My goal is to create an environment that supports their growth, builds their confidence, and helps them feel proud of who they are as learners.
