With the language and social skills struggles that my students experience having tools that allow them to read to themselves and self-edit their written work is key. The whisper phones will allow students to read to themselves, whether during reading or in a review period in writing. The larger pencils will help students that have occupational therapy needs. The stamps and chewable pencil toppers will fulfill a sensory need.
These items will create an inclusive and productive classroom environment.
The resources provided through this project will give my students the tools they need to develop into masterful readers and writers.
