I am asking for card stock, supplies and manipulatives. These items will benefit every student in my math class. Many kids learn better when you show them information instead of just telling them information. These manipulative's will give my students the opportunity to experience math with a direct correlation to the real world.
If funded this project will mean that my students will be able to use pattern blocks to learn about fractions, fraction bars, fractions cubes and snap cubes to demonstrate multiplication, division, and ratios, and they will use scales to learn about and compare weights of objects. These are only a few of my ideas that will allow me to get my students out of the textbook and become fully emerged in the learning process.
By donating to my project, you are helping build a concrete foundation of knowledge for future leaders.
Academics for my students are important, but my ultimate goal is to make math class an enjoyable, exciting, meaningful experience for ALL of my students.
