My students will use the Children of the World floor map to discover the world around them while also sharpening their fine motor skills. The Geoboards reinforces shapes and gives students opportunities to practice creating and understanding shapes. All of the materials and activities requested will be used in our Literacy workstations and centers in the classroom. Having new and exciting activities and materials such as the Hands-On Teaching Globe and the A View from Around the World view masters will allow students to explore on their own and can reinforce the curriculum standards.
These requested materials in my classroom will, not only allow a variety of hands on activities for my students to explore, but there will be enough for all my students to use. My students will use the materials such as the Sand & Water Activity Tubs and the Sensory Sand Ice Cream set in our sensory/discovery center. This center serves several purposes, one being, allowing students to use their senses to explore and learn about the world. Sensory play promotes learning!
My students will be able to explore the materials, often independently which gives them a sense of independence and allows them to be fully engaged and vested in their own learning.
The materials in the classroom will allow my students to explore various learning topics and allow them to be fully engaged in the learning process which makes learning fun!
