Traditional instructional delivery that requires pencil-and-paper based tasks cannot fully support and prevent English Language Learners from staying actively engaged, receiving the best instruction, and truly expressing what they know due to the language barrier. During gathering time, we read, write, and create together on our classroom rug as I guide students in collaborative practice before they tackle academic challenges independently. Healthy snacks keep kids focused! Despite my students coming from low-income homes, they STILL deserve an opportunity to feel and do their best!
Your donation will help my students overcome barriers to their education so that they can continue to grow as lifelong learners.
