Every year my 7th grade students learn about the Black Death (a.k.a the Plague). They learn about it in every class: Math, Science, History, even P.E! In Language Arts, we read a fictional narrative of a person living in that time period. Our current books are old, boring, and falling apart. Because of this, the department is leaning towards dropping the project all together. However, I believe this project has extraordinary value to our 7th graders. The book "Crispin: The Cross of Lead" by Avi is award winning, historically accurate, and students love the story. Obtaining a class set through your generous donation will save our project, and make it even better than it was before. Thank you in advance!
