I dream to use these Chromebooks teaching Social Studies to better engage the interests of my Super Students in local, national, and global issues and affairs.
I feel that this access to technology will also create the opportunity for my students to do meaningful work. The use of databases and libraries will allow my students to independently gather, analyze, and interpret the information they research and will increase the amount of knowledge and quality of their thinking and writing because they will be engaging in their own research, making it personally relevant to each of them.
On the other hand, my students also need this technology to become globally aware and be able to use sources in the real world. These Chromebooks will provide our children with an immediate access to the world not just beyond our classrooms but beyond our communities.
