Make a donation Ms. Thomatos can use on her next classroom project.
The donations for this project will improve my inclusive classroom by reducing the amount of noise during computer work. Distractions can quickly turn into behavioral issues, and a quiet classroom is a peaceful classroom. There will be students with sensory issues and noise from 30+ laptops can become a distraction. I would love for my students to be able to concentrate on their work instead of becoming overstimulated by their neighbors noisy computer program.
The type of classroom I will be teaching in is called ICT (Intergrated Co-Teaching). There will be a General Ed Teacher and myself (the Special Ed Teacher) teaching the lessons. We teach the same lessons but differentiate according to our students' needs.
The computers allow us to assess our students as well as personalize lessons for them. Some students require stories to be read to them while others are engaged by music and movement. The headphones will be a great help in allowing us to integrate computer work into our classroom.
