Recently, we asked students, "What do you do when it rains?" Nearly all said they stay inside. We will use the rain boots to explore around our swamp, to help create and maintain a school garden and to go on rain walks.
This spring we will help to create a water capture system to divert water from our pavilion roof to the vegetable garden. We will use the rain boots to explore water movement and while digging a trench for water hoses and pipes. We will share our rain boots with three other classes in our school for field trips and for other outdoor adventures.
