My students love our Pretend and Learn Center! In our classroom we focus on a lot of life skills that our students need to use in the real world. If we have a Pretend and Learn Store Market in our classroom this will help our students to practice going to the store and how to buy groceries. All of the students in my classroom have different sensory needs and being able to touch and feel the food will help them. The pretend food will help my students see the different categories of food groups. The cash register will help my students to learn about money and how to pay for items.
