This project will open up the conversation about their narrative and experiences in America and dealing with relevant controversial topics. This story, All American Boys, will identify with all students, but especially the young men who are harder to reach when reading.
Students will learn to research and discover relevant topics that connect to this fictional text. Some mini projects that will be embedded are character analysis, narrative writing, research, fiction and nonfiction reading, as well as life skills that can be utilized for a lifetime.
I look forward to seeing what creative ways students will interpret the text and monitor their own thinking.
