Many of my students stay very late with me so they can finish their AP computer science assignments. They say they do not have access to computers/laptops outside of the school. With this donation they will have access to computers outside of the school. Some student do not have access to computer at home at all and they don't get to check out laptops from school to take home. They will be able use this device at their own pace, and would also be able to finish related assignments when the school and public library is closed. Being able to take a computer to home also enables them to access internet using public wifi in places like McDonalds, which is close by., during holidays.
