In today’s world, students are at the forefront of a technological based world. Students often complete their assignments online and type up most their work. However all that is stored digitally and some students do not have the opportunity to have their work printed out. As a title 1 school, most of my students do not have their own printers at home. However, some students prefer to write on paper than working on the computers.
By having a printer that is accessible to all students, learning will become more powerful as they are able to print out their work. More so, the printer will also allow for students to print out their work, revise it and allow them to track their progress. I envision the printer in the back of my classroom, where students will be able to print out all their work as they see fit. Every child learns differently and having a printer available will help those who need a hard copy of the work.
