Our students need protection from the sun, especially in daily 100-degree weather. Our patio has very limited shaded areas where our students can play during recess. I want to help transform the patio by providing our students with the proper shade they need. Many times our students decide to sit out during recess because it is way too hot and sunny. Being out every day in the sun also increases their risk of sun damage or skin cancers. We encourage our students to keep moving and make healthier choices. This shade will help our students stay safe, cool and be comfortable as they continue to stay active.

About my class
