I have have taught for 21 years, and I am still learning along with my students. Year after year, I continue to be inspired by the talented, amazing, hard working students that enter my classroom. It has always been my goal to teach them the things they need to grow into the amazing people they are destined to be. I want learning to be fun, comfortable, engaging and motivating. The 21st century classroom involves choice, is comfortable and cozy, and supports different learning styles.. We listen to classical music, have flexible seating options, and use technology daily. Imagine a classroom where students are able to learn in the style best suited for them. Someone wise once told me, sitting is the new smoking, get those kids out of chairs and get them moving, talking, thinking out loud, collaborating, problem solving, and creating.
