Computers in my office will allow me to expose students to websites that targets peer relationship scenarios. Also students who are ADHD and needs a quiet place to work can come to my office to complete assignments. This is helpful in preserving the students self esteem and relationship with their peers who might be distracted by their constant movement or fidgeting. It will also help them to be in a quiet and supportive environment.
During Social Skills Group, it is my intention to utilize the computers to enhance each students experience in my office. During group time, students will be able to participate in character education programs to enhance their understanding of interpersonal skills. They will be able to cooperatively work together and learn skills that will be able to be applied to the classroom setting.
Students with ADHD need a quiet setting to concentrate and have a productive work experience therefore, the use of a computer in my office will afford them to ability to successfully complete assignment.
