Many educational materials are supplied by our school but are very limited and not sufficient for all students in the classroom. I often have to borrow materials such as headphones that are needed for our computerized programs. Right now, we have three working headphones for a center of six computers. It is ideal to have headphones for each computer to minimize classroom noise level and so the students are able to focus on their lesson.
In addition, I am requesting three amazon fire tablets for the students to use for the “Accelerated Reader” program. This program allows students to read books and test them so they may accumulate reader points. What I like about “A.R.” Is that every student is assigned a specific reading level where they are able to check out books from our school library. Some of the books are “eBooks” and in order for our students to read them, they need an electronic device. I would like these tablets to be used for that purpose, my students will now be able to log in, read and test all at one time. Sometimes the computers are not avaible to use because I have students working on another program, so it would be ideal to have them available when needed. Also, I am requesting the proper protection for the amazon tablets. I have included three cases to protect the devices.
Lastly, I am requesting four OSMO genius kits and dry erase markers for my students. These OSMO kits will be used throughout the year for different subject areas. Please help me give my students the Osmo attachments needed for the iPad to create hands-on learning! Osmo offers other games to be used to help students while encouraging creativity, social intelligence, and problem-solving skills.
