My First grade students absolutely love conducting science experiments to help learn the how and why of many different science concepts. Our materials are very limited and with these new materials, my students will become more involved in the hands on learning process, push them to take that learning to the next level by having them create (very high level questioning technique) and apply their learning to real life!
Our First grade concepts include force and motion, sink and float, properties of objects, land forms, and much more! We need two bean bag seats and these really amazing science experiment supplies - problem solving STEM kits, beanbag seats, engineering centers and a motion station - to help build their knowledge about the how and why of science concepts. With these materials, I will be able to integrate other content areas such as reading, writing, and math.
