Support Ms. Jines' classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
I have always wanted to have alternative seating in my room to offer my children a variety of seating to help in their learning. Children naturally move a lot and to want them to sit completely still while I explain or discuss and assignment is absurd.
There are so many children who need to move and be able to do it without disrupting the classroom. By offering them a variety of seating for their needs you help with their self confidence and ability to concentrate. Alternative seating is so vital to a child's learning needs, but it is so expensive that I cannot purchase the equipment I need. If I am fortunate to have alternative seating I would use the wobble stools and my reading station and/or students desk. The bean bags would be placed in the listening station for the children to have comfortable seating instead of the hard floor. The floor seats are for the students who do not like sitting at a desk and are more comfortable seating low to the ground. I want my students to have the resources they need to be successful in their academic journey and I feel alternative seating is a great asset to our classroom. Let's face it they need to move. Its only natural.
