It is my job to ensure that the activities and projects that we undertake are exciting and meaningful. Tomiyasu Elementary is a title one school where most of my students come from low-income homes or English language learners. I have bought lots of supplies and organizational materials out of pocket, but as a first year teacher there are so much more needed to make a classroom a warm and inviting place to learn. School will begin in two weeks and I hope that I can provide all the needed supplies, materials, books, and a classroom rug for my students to complete everyday learning and increase productivity.
