We are looking forward to presenting a science fair during our spring parent teacher conferences and many of these supplies will support that goal. The weather, space, and electricity supplies will be most helpful in our presentations and the books on these subjects will provide valuable knowledge.
These resources will provide engaging hands-on experiences to my students during our in class learning. The books and lamps will be put to great use during our flashlight reading times. The classroom set of the novel Pax will greatly help us to examine good narrative writing as we practice and prepare for upcoming writing exams. Exposure to literature that is deep in meaning and helps us connect back to concepts previously studied is greatly appreciated. I am excited to help my students make connections from the story of Pax to our ecosystem unit from last semester.
The book bins would provide much needed storage space in our busy room and help my students stay organized. We also have continual need for earbuds, as learning on our devices has become an essential component of learning during the pandemic. I have purchased several of these out of my own funds but they are continually misplaces and broken during the transition from distance to in class learning.
I have also included some math manipulatives to help fill in some gaps in my math tools. Thank you so much for considering this much needed support of our learning.
