Many competitive marching bands use electronics to feature students and to help mix the group. We currently do not have that capability and that puts us at a competitive disadvantage.
We have terrific musicians that struggle to be heard. A new digital mixer would put our students in a position to be successful and on par with the other groups we compete against. We often play in noisy football stadiums and some students need amplification to be heard.
A new mixer would be used by the entire band program. It would be used for: Our marching band, jazz band, winter percussion program, and at our various concerts throughout the year.
