In order to help prepare my students for future science endeavors, I would like to incorporate technology as much as possible in my labs. We are a BYOD (bring your own device) school, but most activities/programs I would like to run cannot be completed on a basic cell phone. We would like to purchase Google Chromebooks in order to help my students complete their assignments.
The beauty of having the Chromebooks is that my students will not only be able to successfully collect data with online programs and attachments, but they will also be able to graph and use that data for interpretation just as they would in a real world/college setting. It also allows for collaboration between students on Google drives. The final goal of this project is to give students the opportunity for science experimenting, data collection, and analysis similar to the work research scientists do at colleges, universities, and in their careers.
