The 21st century is full of young students using iPads, computers, laptops, phones, tablets, and many other devices to do a wide range of tasks. Within my own classroom there are 2 desktop computers and 2 Chromebooks to share with 25 students and counting. Half of the technology in the classroom is outdated which brings on many issues and raises the awareness to bring new technology into the classroom.
Students need technology in order to be prepared for the world ahead.
An increase of computers in my room will provide more access to students and the opportunity to thrive academically through technology. Computers will be used to improve typing skills, complete research, play games, boost reading and math skills, and to engage in project based learning.
