I'm going to be starting a classroom book club and the first book in the club will be reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The students will all get to keep their copy of the book as well, so they can continue to journey into the Wizarding World at home! I'm going to theme my room out and really energize the students from the start to be excited about reading. When the students come to class on the first day of book club, they will all enter a door that says "Platform 9 3/4", they will all get "acceptance letters" to Hogwarts, and I will have Harry Potter music playing on the computer.
