These materials will greatly impact the students' abilities in reading and additional content areas. These age appropriate books will foster a love of reading. The impact will be year long while in kindergarten, but will have life long literacy implications. A strong reading foundation is formed while students are in kindergarten. These leveled readers will benefit the students and help to lay the foundation for these lifelong learners.
A strong ability in reading will maximize the students potential in all content areas. Confidence in reading will support the students ability to access mathematics, science, writing, and social studies. By reaching all content areas through reading, a well rounded student is formed.
