My students are an amazing group of students who come from a variety of backgrounds. Many students lack the basic skills for their age when entering first grade. Without the basic foundational skills students it is easy for students to fall behind in the later grades.
First grade is a time to explore and have fun. I want my classroom to be an environment with hands on learning so students stay engaged and commitment to learn. Not one student is a like and nor do they learn the same way. With the right resources students can be successful not only in first grade but throughout life.
