I want my students to leave the classroom as good people ready to make the world a better place. I believe that reading creates more engaged, empathetic, compassionate, and curious students.
My goal is for our class to read four challenging, culturally responsive, current and captivating books over the course of the year.
In order to do so, I am hoping to get a class set of Harry Potter, I am Malala (Young Readers Edition), and Booked. I would also like a small set of Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal for my Spanish speaking students. The fourth book is Esperanza Rising.
