Math workshop is a time where students are able to use hands on manipulatives to learn math concepts. The Magna Tiles will help students engage in hands on learning of shapes through play. They will allow students to construct and make connections while building 3 dimensional shapes using 2 dimensional shapes.
Students will also be able to use the Magna Tiles for STEM where we are working on structure and functions and forces and motion. Students will be able to build a variety of structures and discuss what the structures look like and what their functions are. The Magna Tiles cars can be used in our forces and motion units to discuss how magnets work while also being able to build cars.
