There are many students that have to overcome or process various obstacles throughout their school day. For example, often times a student may become anxious about an upcoming social studies quiz, a child may feel threatened by another peer at recess, another student may have forgotten their ADHD medication and just can't seem to keep their mind focused in class, while another child may be on the brink of an anger outburst, because they are nonverbal and can't express their feelings adequately. These are just some of the many scenarios that I enjoy processing through with students at my school district as the School Psychologist. As the School Psychologist, I not only have to teach students about academics, but also process a lot of social, emotional and behavioral lessons with my students.
